We, Japan Society of Obstetrics & Gynecology, would like to express our sincere gratitude to the AOFOG members conveying warmest prayers to the victims suffering from the massive earthquake and tsunami which hit northeastern and eastern Japan on March 11. It is painful to see the reported death toll climbed over 9,000, while more than 13,000 people are missing. We are now making our utmost effort to offer medical help for the most devastated Tohoku region including dispatching doctors and making appeals to the government. We greatly appreciate your kind support for the people who lost their loved ones and all their belongings within a moment.
Under these circumstances, we regret to inform you that we had to decide to postpone the 63rd Annual Congress of JSOG which had been scheduled to be held in April 15th through 17th in Osaka. Please accept our deepest apology for any inconvenience this might cause you. The new schedule of the Congress will be notified as soon as it is fixed. Your warm understanding for this situation would be highly appreciated.
