Message from the Editor

Invitation for submissions

I would like to invite doctors, nurses, or other healthcare workers to submit manuscripts to our local journal, Hong Kong Journal of Gynaecology, Obstetrics and Midwifery. To facilitate your submissions and our review process, there have been two major changes starting from the 2005 issue.

  1. You may submit your manuscripts in an electronic format, and paper copies are no longer required.
  2. We will accept manuscripts written in Chinese (other than English) after a peer-review, and will prepare an English abstract for an accepted paper written in Chinese.

Our journal publishes peer-reviewed articles on all aspects of gynaecology, obstetrics, midwifery and related fields, including original basic and clinical studies, review articles, case reports and abstracts or reports presented at scientific meetings or seminars.

For submission (Gynaecology and Obstetrics Section), please send an electronic copy of your manuscript to Dr. KY Leung (email address: leungky1@ha.org.hk). Thank you for your support.

Dr. KY Leung
Editor-in- Chief

Manuscripts submitted to this journal must not be under simultaneous considerations by any other publication and should not have been published elsewhere in substantially similar form. A letter confirming the transfer of copyright to the Journal signed by all authors should accompany all submitted papers.

Manuscript Preparation

Manuscripts must be submitted in English or Chinese in an electronic format. This applies to all parts of the manuscript, i.e. reference, legends, figures, illustrations etc. Liberal margins should be left at the top and bottom, as well as the sides. The manuscript should be submitted in the following order: Title Page, Abstract, Text, References, Tables, Legends, and Figures. Each page, beginning with the summary, should also include the senior authorˇ¦s surname typed on the upper, left-hand corner. The author should not make any changes in the proofs except for the corrections of editorial errors, if any, and/or correction of typesetterˇ¦s errors. A commercial name should not be part of a manuscript title. If a trademark item is named, the name(s) and address(es) of the manufacturer(s) or supplier(s), in addition to the generic name, should be foot-noted. Authors should make no claims of priority in their manuscripts.
